# Ads.txt generation for MarfeelPress

Upon MarfeelPress plugin activation, Marfeel takes control of the ads.txt file to optimize the ad revenue.

When a physical ads.txt file exists, Marfeel adds the ads.txt lines of our partners to it.
When a plugin is used to manage ads.txt and there is no physical ads.txt file, Marfeel creates an ads.txt physical file with all pre-existing ads.txt lines plus the lines of our partners. The ads.txt file generated from other plugins becomes inactive until MarfeelPress plugin is deactivated.

# MarfeelPress ads.txt editor

Use the ads.txt panel in the MarfeelPress plugin to manage ads.txt file. The available actions are explained below:

Add new lines: Add lines of new providers in the editable part of our ads.txt editor.
Remove lines: Remove ads.txt lines of any of your providers in the editable part of our ads.txt editor.
Check Marfeel partners lines: Check the ads.txt lines Marfeel added to the ads.txt file to optimize your ad revenue.
Check the final ads.txt file: Check the ads.txt file and ensure that all the lines of providers you are using outside Marfeel are in place.

Save

Remember saving your changes whenever the ads.txt file is modified!

After deactivating the MarfeelPress plugin, the ads.txt is restored:

When another ads.txt management plugin is active, the physical ads.txt file created by Marfeel is removed and the control is given back to that plugin. The changes made through MarfeelPress ads.txt editor won't be reflected in the ads.txt file generated by other plugins.
When there was a pre-existing physical ads.txt file, MarfeelPress plugin just removes our partners' lines. In this case, the file keeps all changes made through the ads.txt editor, that are not related to Marfeel.
